The StrideLinx Industrial VPN router grants you and your customers Secure Remote PLC Access and Data management, and now with the premium branding add-on feature, it can do even more. Let’s say you are a Machine builder or OEM and you have machines around the world. With the use of the StrideLinx platform and the Premium branding, you can give your support team and customers a customized website portal using your domain name and company identity. Remotely programming or troubleshooting your control systems and accessing vital machine data. In this video we will show how to purchase the Premium branding license and setup your information. For this video, a company ADC Tech, wants to private label their StrideLinx platform under the brand of DuraFlux. Now, their customers can access their equipment by logging into adctech.duraflux.com To create this custom portal, for your StrideLinx account, you will first need to purchase a domain, from an Web Hosting Company, like GoDaddy, Bluehost and there is many others. Once you have a domain you will also need to know the subdomain, that you want to use. Now, in this case we purchased the Duraflux domain, and we are selecting to use adctech as the subdomain. Let’s begin by logging into your StrideLinx account. Go to the Billing and make sure to configure this portion so that you can pay for your license. Now, this option must be purchased through the StrideLinx platform and cannot be purchased through the AutomationDirect website. Now go to the Company portion and you can see the Branding option. Now there is two types of Branding here, there is the free custom branding that will allow you to add your company name, logo and customize the Apple touch icon and platform colors. Then there is the premium branding option. Select to activate and now you will see a description of the features associated with premium Click on purchase and confirm payment. Once everything is confirmed you are now taken to the Domain name validation page. Enter in the subdomain that you will be using. Here we are given instructions to change the CNAME record. You will need to go to your Domain name hosting provider and edit the CNAME. Please see their documentation on how to do this. Once you Edit the CNAME It typically takes 24 hours for the DNS records to be updated across the internet. After 24 hours come back to this validation page and select here to confirm the validation. If it does our new site platform is now up and running. If this does not show up, go back to your Hosting provider and verify that the CName record was edited correctly. Now that we have that done, let’s setup our custom support settings. We can customize the Page Title, subtitle and add some helpful links like these. Everything was loaded correctly and this will give our customer a quick access to all important contacts. Now let’s verify everything from the customers perspective. So, logout of the StrideLinx platform and now navigate to your custom domain. We can see the Logo now reflects our company name and our new site is ready for customers.
