The AutomationDirect SOLO Basic is a single loop temperature controller with PID that can control heating or cooling processes. Depending upon the particular model of controller, the available outputs include relay, voltage pulse, or current. On select models, there are two alarm outputs available with nine selectable alarm types.
SOLO Basic controllers have a single control output that can be used for control of a heating or cooling application.
Models with alarm outputs can also be configured to use one of the alarm outputs as a second control output, allowing both heating and cooling control or two-stage heating or two-stage cooling control.
There are three types of control modes: PID, ON/OFF, and Manual. SOLO Basic can accept various types of thermocouple and RTDs.

Solo temperature controllers have some of the best pricing and features to help you get your project done. Now, we are adding this basic line for when you need a lower cost option without all the complexity. These units are single loop controllers, that can control heating or cooling processes with a choice of 3 different control modes; ON/OFF control, manual control or PID. The PID mode on these units even have auto tuning to make your setup easier There are 6 units in this line extension, that differ in output type or if the units have alarms. Now, that alarm output, can also be configured as a second output. These units come in an industry standard 1/16 DIN, have RTD or Thermocouple input, and have a clear visibility for your project. Now the best part of this series is definitely the price. With the BASIC Solo Temperature controller, you are truly getting the best value in Automation.
