AC Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)

Variable frequency drives control the speed of alternating-current (AC) induction motors. In addition to saving energy, VFDs also reduce inrush current when starting a motor and provide controlled acceleration/deceleration to help prolong AC motor life.

DURApulse GS10 Drives

The DURApulse GS10 series offers high quality and abundant features at our lowest price point. These drives support sensorless vector (SVC) or scalar (V/F) drive modes.

DURApulse GS20 AC Drives

DURApulse GS20 general purpose vector control drives provide many standard and advanced functions, all in a compact unit. Speed control modes available include standard V/Hz with pulse input feedback, sensorless vector control (SVC), and ultra precise field oriented vector control (FOC).

  • Single-phase 120 VAC up to 1hp
  • Single-phase/3-phase 230 VAC up to 20hp
  • Three-phase 460 VAC up to 30hp
  • Three-phase 575 VAC up to 10hp

IronHorse ACG Drives

The IronHorse ACG series of sensorless vector AC drives bridges the gap between a micro drive and high-performance VFD. These drives provide a variety of great features including dynamic braking, PID functionality, and RS-485 Modbus communication. All of the 230VAC and 460VAC models are fully capable of single-phase input capability (with derating), they offer several embedded analog and discrete I/O points, and can support up to two (2) independent IM motor parameter sets.

  • Single-phase 230 VAC up to 10hp
  • Three-phase 230 VAC up to 20hp
  • Single-phase 460 VAC up to 15hp
  • Three-phase 460 VAC up to 30hp

WEG CFW320 Drives

WEG CFW320 AC series drives are feature rich general purpose drives which include a built-in operator interface and SoftPLC. They also support scalar (V/Hz) or voltage vector (VVW) control. These drives include all the features of the CFW300 and add support for 460 VAC and optional Ethernet communications.

  • 115 VAC single-phase input / 230 VAC three-phase output, up to 1.5hp
  • 230 VAC single-phase input / 230 VAC three-phase output, up to 3hp
  • 230 VAC three-phase input I 230 VAC three-phase output, up to 5hp
  • 460 VAC three-phase input I 460 VAC three-phase output, up to 10hp

WEG CFW300 AC drives offer general purpose and ease-of-use with built-in HMI operator interface and SoftPLC, and support scalar (V/Hz) or voltage vector (VVW) control.

DURApulse GS30 drives provide expanded parameter sets for greater versatility, several Ethernet communication options (including EtherCAT®), and advanced control modes including full closed loop for induction or permanent magnet AC motors.

Toshiba AS3 AC Drives

Toshiba is a brand known for ruggedness and durability. The AS3 drives include many great features built in, such as Ethernet communication, that are an added cost with other drives. On top of the many embedded features, optional features include EtherCAT communications, closed-loop vector control, and optional 120 vac IO card.

WEG CFW500 AC Drives

WEG CFW500 high-performance drives support closed-loop flux vector and torque control modes, available in sizes up to 150hp.

Line reactors on VFD line inputs protect drives from current spikes and reduce harmonics. On VFD outputs, reactors or filters are recommended. For motor wiring up to 100 feet, a line reactor is acceptable; from 100 to 1,000 feet, an output filter is recommended.

EMI input filtering reduces electromagnetic interference (noise) on the input side of a variable frequency drive, required for CE compliance and recommended for installations sensitive to EMI. RF filtering reduces the radio frequency interference (noise) on the input or output side of an inverter.
