Vision sensors are self-contained systems that make a decision based on a captured image, very useful for applications requiring presence and/or orientation object detection. The Smart-VS sensor features embedded artificial intelligence technology, but is simple to configure.

Vision Sensors
Vision sensors are intelligent self-contained systems that can be taught what images represent a quality product or proper object orientation. Comparing this data with real-time product images, the sensor can determine a pass/fail or good/no good condition and trigger the corrective actions. Verifying fill level, cap orientation, and label presence as product exits a bottling line is one example of an application these sensors are designed for. They can even make complex decisions involving the color of a product for quality assurance purposes.
