Unmanaged Ethernet Switches
Category Selection
STRIDE Ethernet switches have been designed for the industrial environment, and will survive extreme temperatures, as well as noisy industrial power. With machine-mountable IP67 washdown models available, hazardous location certifications, and meeting the IEC60068-2-6 standard for vibration resilience, STRIDE switches will provide years of reliable connectivity in applications too tough for commercial grade switches.
Unmanaged Ethernet switches do not require setup; they are straightforward to install and operate, and are ideal for simple or small networks.
Flexible Features
- Redundant power inputs with industrial surge, spike, and reverse power protection
- RJ45 ports and M12 ports that are fully IEEE 802.3 compliant with auto-detecting for speed and duplex (full or half)
- Fiber optic port on selected models; multi-mode fiber optic port with ST or SC type connector with a maximum distance of 2km [1.24 mi]
- Models that support copper and/or fiber SFP transceivers available
- Store and forward wire speed switching
- Full-duplex operation with flow control - no collisions
- Auto crossover (MDI/MDIX) automatically supports either straight-through or crossover which greatly reduces cable installation errors
- UL(CUL) listed and CE certified
- Hazardous locations rated for Class 1, Div. 2
- Power over Ethernet (PoE) models available to provide both DC power and reliable communication with one connection
- Simple installation with no user setup required; Stride unmanaged switches will start operating as soon as you power them up and connect them to your network

Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switches
For applications that require extremely fast data transfer capabilities or when a higher bandwidth is necessary, STRIDE Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switches provide much faster data sharing with transmission speeds in the 1000Mbps range.

Unmanaged PoE+/PoE++ Ethernet Switches
Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that allows Ethernet network cables to also carry electrical power. Normally two connections are required, a network connection and a power connection. PoE reduces the time and expense of having electrical power cabling installed.
- Models with full PoE+ on four ports; up to 30W DC power on each port
- PoE++ models provide up to 90W per port with four RJ45 ports
- PoE switches will detect the presence of a PoE enabled device before sending power; if a non-PoE device is detected, power will not be sourced on that port but Ethernet communications will be permitted
- Fast (10/100) or Gigabit PoE+/PoE++ Ethernet communication speeds available
- Select models feature an additional standard (non-PoE) Fast or Gigabit port
- Models with support for plug-in SFP modules available
