AC Motor Soft Starters
Category Selection
Soft starters protect AC motors from damage caused by the excessive inrush of current that can be present when starting a motor. They provide one- or three-phase motors with a smooth, gradual ramp up to full speed.
Soft starters not only prolong motor life, they are also ideal for applications that require speed and torque control at startup, including belt-driven systems or systems with stored tension, and pump systems where surges in pressure could cause equipment damage.

Compact Soft Starters
Compact AC motor soft starters are perfect for space limited applications. These light duty starters have housing sizes up to 79mm wide with models that are rated up to 85A @ 230-460 VAC (3-phase) and 40A @ 110-240 VAC (1-phase).
Basic Soft Starters
Basic AC motor soft starters provide added protections and motor control features and can be used in standard-, medium-, or heavy-duty applications. Fully digital versions offer easier setup with a built-in communication interface. Models are rated for up to 412A @ 220-575 VAC (3-phase) and 361A @ 110-240 VAC (1-phase).
Full Featured Soft Starters
Full Featured AC motor soft starters are fully digital and use thyristors for reduced voltage starting/stopping with automatic configuration, and built-in bypass contacts. Models are rated for up to 950A @ 200-575 VAC (3-phase).
