BRX High-Speed I/O Modules

High-Speed I/O (HSIO) modules are used to expand the BRX PLC's onboard HSIO capabilities or add high-speed I/O to the M series CPU. Three high-speed input/output modules are available with either sink, source, or differential I/O. BRX high-speed I/O modules can be used to track rapid encoder pulses, drive stepper motors, or can be configured for other counter/timer, axis/pulse, pulse-width-modulated or table-driven functions.

• 8 high-speed inputs and 8 high-speed outputs
• Supports differential signaling to reduce the effect of electrical noise
• Up to 2MHz high-speed input/output signals
• Input functions include counting, scaling, measurement, interrupts, PLS, and tables
• Output functions include PTO, PWM, positioning, velocity, gearing, camming, following, homing, and jogging
• With HSIO expansion modules, BRX PLCs are capable of controlling up to 27 independent axes of motion or 7 groups of coordinated motion with additional virtual axes for internal control and following applications
