Intrinsically Safe Barriers
Zener barriers provide intrinsic safety by diverting fault energy using Zener diodes and fuses to send excess energy to the ground connection. They are smaller, so they save panel space, and can be more cost-effective. Digital, analog, temperature, and frequency modules are available.

Barriers
STAHL Zener barriers provide intrinsic safety and limit energy sent to a hazardous location by diverting fault energy as opposed to isolating the signal. A dedicated ground is required for each module.
- Intrinsically safe Zener barriers for discrete PNP and NPN signals, pulse trains, analog signals, strain gauges, and thermocouple signals
- All modules are dual-channel
- Zener barriers save space over isolator modules
- Grounding lugs on top and bottom of module
