Measuring light grids detect and measure various sized and shaped objects as they pass through the target area. With discrete and analog outputs, they can sense presence and measure object height anywhere within the controlled height of the sensor array. (Not for use as safety light curtains)

Measuring Light Grids
Category Selection
Unlike detection light grids that only detect an object's presence within the grid, measuring light grids also measure the object's height. These grids provide a proportional analog output or communication signal to a controller and are ideal for:
- Detecting chute or hopper fill status
- Measuring product stacking heights (such as paper stacks) or pallet heights
- Sorting objects based on their height
- Ensuring proper orientation of products (such as conveyed products passing under an overhead labeler)
These devices require a sender (emitter) and receiver, and may be sold as individual components or as a pair.
