NSF Potable Water Solenoid Valves

The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certifies that food equipment is hygienically designed and built in accordance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) health standards. They do this in part by rigorously testing and analyzing products and their material constructions for adherence to proper food safety regulations. NSF potable water solenoid valves from GC Valves or ODE are available in direct acting or piloted diaphragm versions with either a nylon or stainless steel body.

• Pilot-operated valves have an armature that acts on a pilot orifice, which releases pressure and volume above the diaphragm, allowing the differential pressure of the fluid to open the valve and control fluid flow.
• Valves with zero differential action can operate under zero head pressure (do not need a differential pressure across the valve to work)
• Direct acting valves have an armature that acts directly on the valve orifice to control fluid flow and does not require a minimum pressure to operate.

NSF approved potable water valves feature:

• 2-port (2-way), 2-position flow control
• Nylon or stainless steel construction
• Normally closed (N.C.) configuration
• 18mm (DIN 43650A) style wiring plug
• 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", or 2" NPT ports (depending on series)
