Daisy Chaining:
Terminal Placement Recommendations
Single Assembly:
- Assemblies always start with a Bus Coupler
- Select up to 64 I/O Terminals
- Each Terminal can connect from 2 to 16 I/O devices
- Byte Limits Apply (512 input/512 output)
- Bus Power Budgets Apply
- I/O Bus Power Budget is tracked by this selector
- Terminal Bus(es) - user must track PB independently
- End Terminal always required
Bus Expansion:
- Bus Coupler – PX-MOD or PX-TCP1
or PX-EIP1
(PX-TCP2 does not allow Bus Expansion) - Maximum 64 I/O Terminals per Assembly
- Maximum 32 Assemblies in an Expansion Group
- Byte Limits (512 input/512 output)
apply to group as a whole.
Bus Expansion uses standard Cat5e cables - but the signals are proprietary
