The Protos X compact, modular field I/Osystem
allows a user to install remote field I/O devices without having to invest in another controller. The unique slim design and low cost of the Protos X I/O makes it the most practical distributed I/O available today. The ultra-slender form factor makes it easy to install on or near machine or application components, saving time and excess field wiring and speeding up troubleshooting. The ultra-compact design makes it perfect for applications where a typical PLC or I/O solution simply would not fit.

Bus Couplers are available in four configurations.
Eight DC I/O terminals are available.
Four AC I/O terminals are available.
18 analog I/O terminals are available.
A Bus End Terminal, located at the end of a terminal assembly, is required for proper I/O bus communication.
Two Power Feed Terminals, 24VDC or 120-230 VAC, are available to add or change supply power to the Terminal Power Bus.
The configuration tool is used to identify the Modbus addressing, Modbus function codes, and change certain bus coupler settings. The software tool is a free download from our Web site or it can be purchased separately on a USB drive.

A communications cable is available for configuration of the Bus Couplers. The cable has a USB type A connector for the PC and a 4-pin custom micro connector for the bus coupler.
