The Protos X I/O configuration tool is a free download that configures the bus coupler to match the user's network and provides the Modbus address of each Protos X terminal. This software tool can be purchased on USB and a USB cable used for bus coupler configuration is also available.

The quick, easy to use PX-CFGSW configuration utility helps setup the bus coupler to match the configuration of the network and identify the address of each Protos X terminal. The simple to read layout shows:
- Slot: the physical location of the terminal
- Terminal Name: Part number
- Short Description: discerption of each
- Long Description: more details
- Modbus Range: The Modbus Address for each
The PX-CFGSW tool can also be used to disable or set the Watchdog time, set the Modbus address offset based on controller requirements and reset the bus coupler as needed.
Protos X I/O PX-CFGSW software configuration tool
The configuration tool is used to identify the Modbus addressing, Modbus function codes, and change certain bus coupler settings
- The software tool is a free software download from our Web site or it can be purchased separately on USB drive
- Protos X software configuration instructions are part of the Protos X manual which is included as a pdf with the PX-CFGSW software configuration tool and is also available as a free manual download
