The Protos X field I/O system has several specialized terminals. Bus expansion end terminals and couplers allow additional terminal assemblies to be added to the system, while power feed, distribution, and separation terminals allow changes to, and distribution from, the terminal power bus.

Protos X Bus Power and Expansion
- 24VDC and 120-230 VAC power feeds let you switch voltage on the power bus
- Bus Expansion End terminals and Couplers let you expand the system with ease
A Bus End Terminal, located at the end of a terminal assembly, is required for proper I/O bus communication. Bus expansion is available for the PX-MOD and PX-TCP1 Bus Couplers.
Power Feed Terminals are available to add or change supply power to the Terminal Power Bus. A Power Distribution Terminal provides access to the integrated 24VDC Terminal Power Bus. A Power Separation Terminal is available to provide interruption of power along the Terminal Power Bus.
The Protos X compact, modular field I/O system
Allows a user to install remote field I/O devices without having to invest in another controller. The unique slim design and low cost of the Protos X I/O makes it the most practical distributed I/O available today. The ultra-slender form factor makes it easy to install on or near machine or application components, saving time and excess field wiring and speeding up troubleshooting. The ultra-compact design makes it perfect for applications where a typical PLC or I/O solution simply would not fit.
PX-903
Bus End Terminal / Bus Expansion Coupler Terminals
A Bus End Terminal, located at the end of a terminal assembly, is required for proper I/O bus communication
- Bus expansion is available for the PX-MOD and PX-TCP1 Bus Couplers
- Bus expansion requires that a Bus Expansion End Terminal be used in place of the Bus End Terminal and a Bus Expansion Coupler Terminal is used in place of the PX-MOD or PXTCP1 at each expansion assembly
- PX-901 - simple end terminal, required in all systems that are not expanded
- PX-902 - expansion end terminal,
required for all expansion systems.
Always connected to a PX-903. - PX-903 - bus expansion coupler terminal, used in place of bus couplers at each expansion system. Always connected to a PX-902.

Power Feed Terminals
Two Power Feed Terminals, 24VDC or 120-230 VAC, are available to add or change supply power to the Terminal Power Bus.

Power Distribution Terminal
A Power Distribution Terminal provides access to the integrated 24VDC Terminal Power Bus. The terminal provides 8 connection points each of 24V and 0V.
