Process and instrumentation cable is a highly used electrical transmission medium for connecting the various transducers and measurement devices used in automated systems.
- Instrumentation cable is a widely used cable in industrial automation. It provides reliable connections between control devices and is designed to withstand electrical interference from noisy environments.
- Sensor/actuator cables are used for process control and provide reliable connections for input signals from transducers and command outputs to end-devices in a control network.
- Extension grade wire/cable is specifically designed to carry temperature signals long distances without losing signal quality when the application requires a temperature sensor to be installed remotely from the controller.

Instrumentation Cable
300V UL instrumentation cable from Quabbin is used to connect electrical control devices together, providing system-wide communication with protection against signal loss. Overall shielded cables have a foil shield with 100% coverage and a tinned copper continuous drain wire for protection against external electrical noise interference. Cables with both individually shielded pairs and an overall shield have foil shields with 100% coverage complete with separate tinned copper continuous drain wires.
- Conductor sizes of 16 AWG (twisted pairs only), 18 AWG, or 20 AWG
- 1, 2, 4, or 8 twisted pairs or twisted triads
- Stranded bare copper conductors with premium grade PVC insulation
