Need help selecting a soft starter?
Use our selector tool
to configure and order.
Full-featured soft starters use thyristors for reduced voltage motor switching, have automatic configuration, built-in bypass relays, and a patented iERS system that reduces energy costs. Soft starters lower energy use and reduce wear on motors and mechanical equipment.
SR55 soft starters, used to control 3-phase AC induction motors, are fully digital and packed
with features. They provide smooth acceleration for reduced mechanical shock and starting stress,
full motor overload protection, easy setup with embedded touchscreen or quick automatic application
setup, and integrated Modbus RTU communications.
3 frame sizes available, with ratings from 17-477A @ 200-480VAC
24VDC, 110VAC, or 230VAC selectable control voltage
Internally bypassed during run
Full three-phase motor control
Easily and separately adjustable motor start and stop times
Built-in SCR failure protection
Full data logging (fault records, motor current, operational status, etc.)
Optional Modbus TCP or EtherNet/IP communications
Configure and view parameters as well as view logs using StellarLink software
iERS (intelligent Energy Recovery System) saves energy on lightly-loaded motors
Can be connected 'in-the-delta', allowing use of a smaller soft starter (no iERS optimizing with in-delta connections)
Can be used for motor reversing (with external contactors)
Can be used with local or remote control
Programmable analog I/O, digital inputs, and relay outputs for remote control
IP20, panel mount with optional finger guards for frame sizes 1 and 2 soft starters
