For I/O-heavy systems, the Productivity3000 local expansion I/O modules can add up to 4 extra racks of I/O. This extra I/O (along with remote I/O) allows for a total system I/O capacity of over 7,000 I/O points.

Expansion I/O
For applications that require more local I/O than what can be supplied by the main CPU base, expansion I/O modules allow for additional base groups of I/O to be installed in close proximity (less than 15ft.) to the main base.
- Daisy chain up to 4 P3-EX I/O bases per CPU
- Adds up to an additional 2,816 I/O points to the CPU
