Gate boxes provide tamper-proof RFID-coded locking combined with machine control in one heavy-duty housing, offering a high level of safety for both personnel and plant protection. Networked models provide communications to a safety PLC via the CIP Safety network protocol.

Universal Gate Boxes
New!
IDEM Universal Gate Boxes are designed to fit the leading edge of machine guard doors/gates, providing robust guard locking and a double tamper-resistant RFID-coded interlock mechanism.
- Provides position interlock detection for moving guards, keeping the guard locked until voltage is applied
- Holds guards closed with up to 3000N holding force
- Can be used in conjunction with delay timers
- Accepts standard 22mm pushbuttons, selector switches, and indicator lamps for integrated machine control functions
- Rotating head provides up to 8 actuator entry positions with front or end entry actuation
- All models support 4 pilot devices
- Rear release versions available
