Air prep control valves shut off air pressure downstream when at rest and allow air to flow when activated. Manual valves are operated with a knob; solenoid-activated models are available as a standard shut-off valve, or with soft start and dump functions.

Control Valves
Air prep control valves are normally closed valves that allow upstream air to be shut off while exhausting downstream air. Manual shut-off valves, solenoid operated shut-off valves, and soft start/dump valves are available.

Norgren Excelon Plus 82 and 84 Series Manual Shut-Off Relief Valves
Excelon Plus 82 and 84 series lockable shut-off valves are available in a 3-way/2-position configuration with threaded exhaust and red knob. The full flow rotating ball valve and restricted 1/4" NPT exhaust port make it possible to add a silencer or pipe the exhaust away.
- 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" PTF (FNPT - female NPT threaded ports)
- "Pop up" padlock feature allows valve to be locked in the closed position for safety

Norgren Excelon Plus 82 and 84 Series Soft Start/Dump Valves
Excelon Plus 82 and 84 series soft start dump valves allow downstream pressure to gradually rise on initial start-up, before fully opening to deliver line pressure. The dump function allows the system to be exhausted quickly when required, particularly in the event of a power failure or emergency stop.

NITRA ARV Series Air Relief Valves
NITRA pneumatic manual shut-off pressure relief valves are available with a wide selection of NPT female port sizes. The modular design enables easy field assembly for combining with other NITRA air preparation components.
- 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT female port sizes

NITRA ASD Series Soft-Start / Dump Valves
The 3-way, 2-position (3 threaded ports) design of these valves is used to gradually increase air pressure downstream when the solenoid is energized and to shut off upstream pressure and relieve downstream pressure when it is de-energized.
Provided with a mounting bracket for stand-alone applications, the modular design also enables easy field assembly with NITRA pneumatic filters, regulators and lubricators.

Metal Work Syntesi Shut-Off Valves
Metal Work Syntesi shut-off valves are normally closed and allow upstream air to be blocked while exhausting downstream air pressure. These manual or solenoid valve-operated shut-off valves are available in a wide range of port sizes and are a great value.

Metal Work Syntesi Soft Start Valves
Metal Work Syntesi soft start valves allow air pressure to be gradually introduced into a downstream system by energizing a solenoid coil. De-energizing the same solenoid coil causes air pressure to be blocked from the upstream source and rapidly dumped from the downstream system.
