Mechanical power transmission is the transfer of mechanical motion between two components. In most cases, the rotation of the primary mover is what causes the movement of the driven component. The driven component's movement may be rotational or linear based on application needs. Torque, speed, and direction may also be altered during this transfer of mechanical energy.

Motor-ready linear actuators and sliding components turn rotary motion into linear motion, providing a variety of X-Y and X-Y-Z positioning system solutions. Options for mounting stepper or servo motors as well as a full selection of accessories are available to complete a linear motion system.
Stepper motor linear actuators are stepper motors that incorporate a lead screw as the rotor, which translates motor torque into linear thrust. These actuators are often used with undriven linear slides or linear shafts/linear supports.

Ball screws and ball nuts convert rotary motion into smooth, precise linear movement with high efficiency and accuracy. Designed for repeatability and long service life, they are ideal for automation, positioning, and motion control applications.
Linear guides and rail systems are machine elements that support the movement of heavy objects in a straight line with minimal friction or resistance. Styles available include linear bearings and rails, and linear carriages and guides.
Linear bearings and rail products use continuously circulating ball bearings to provide high load capacities.
Linear carriage and guide products use V-shaped wheels to resist debris in dirty, dusty processes with ball bearings sealed inside the hub of the wheels. Internal and external carriage styles are available.
Guide tracks with slides use a proprietary, self-lubricating, PTFE coating to support loads across a wide temperature range. They offer smooth, quiet operation with vibration damping and shock resistance. No additional lubrication is required.
Aluminum linear shafts and bearings offer a cost-effective means of supporting sliding linear loads while providing smooth, maintenance-free operation.
Precision ground linear shafts, shaft supports, and bearings are a tight-tolerance means of supporting sliding linear loads while providing smooth operation with minimal maintenance. The shafts' surface finish is optimized for plain, ball, and roller bearings.
Helical racks and pinions provide an efficient, scalable solution for converting rotary motion into smooth, precise linear travel—especially for long‑stroke applications. These components integrate easily into complete motion systems and deliver reliable performance beyond 2 meters of travel.
Stainless steel worm gearboxes (speed reducers) drive a load at a reduced ratio of motor speed, with housings suitable for food and beverage applications. Output torque is increased by that same ratio; horsepower is unchanged (less efficiency losses).
Cast iron worm gearboxes (speed reducers) drive a load at a reduced ratio of the motor speed, with rugged housings to withstand industrial environments. Output torque is increased by that same ratio, while horsepower is unchanged (less efficiency losses).
Aluminum worm gearboxes with NEMA input faces are lower-cost, medium-duty worm gearbox alternatives that feature a lightweight construction, and hollow-shaft outputs. These gearboxes mate directly to NEMA C-face and TC-face motors.
Aluminum worm gearboxes with IEC input faces are lower-cost, medium-duty worm gearbox alternatives that feature a lightweight construction, and hollow-shaft outputs. These gearboxes mate directly to IEC B5 and B14 faced motors.
Cast iron helical gearboxes deliver smooth, efficient power transmission with high load capacity and flexible mounting for demanding industrial applications.
Compact inline strain wave gearboxes deliver extremely high reduction ratios with zero backlash and long service life in space‑constrained motion systems.
Precision servo gearboxes are available in multiple form factors to support high‑performance motion control across a wide range of machine layouts.
PGCN planetary gearboxes provide dependable speed reduction with low backlash and maintenance‑free operation for stepper‑driven automation.
Accessories for SureGear precision gearboxes include additional items needed to complete your motion project. Items included are motor shaft bushings, mounting screws and output shaft keys.

Drive couplings are power transmission components used to couple the shafts of various mechanical devices, and to compensate for shaft misalignment, reducing stress on shafts and bearings. Jaw, double loop, Oldham, servo-application, advanced disc, and high torque disc couplings are available.
This selection of bore reducers is being discontinued, but limited stock may still be available on the shopping page.
