ProSense guided wave radar level sensors use electromagnetic pulses that travel down a metal probe until it reaches a medium, which then reflects the pulse wave back to the probe. The time difference between the transmitting and receiving pulse is used to compute and display the level with high precision. Sensors are available for water and oil level sensing.
ProSense GWR Series liquid level sensors provide low cost liquid level measurement for industrial applications. These sensors transmit electromagnetic wave pulses that travel down the metal probe and are reflected back to the probe when the wave hits the medium. The unit calculates the time difference between transmitting and receiving to calculate the liquid level.
These units can provide both continuous as well as point level measurements, via switch or analog outputs. The rugged 316 stainless steel housing is IP68/IP69K rated, which provides uncompromising protection and long life in harsh industrial environments.
The GWR-1600-P probe is best suited for use with water or water-based media and is ideal for challenging applications with liquid that is soiled, viscous, or prone to formation of deposits.
The GWR-1600-C coaxial tube and probe is optimized for use with oil or oil-based media or clean water or waterbased media without particulates or deposits that might bridge the gap between the probe and coaxial tube.
The GWR-1600-C can also be used as a probe-only unit without the coaxial tube for water or water-based applications that may be soiled, viscous, or prone to formation of deposits.
