Hinge interlock safety switches provide positively operated contacts and a tamper-resistant actuator mechanism for hinged machine guards. Intended for mounting to the hinged axis of guard doors (body fitted to door frame, actuator attached to door), they provide position interlock detection.

Hinge Interlock Safety Switches
Hinge safety interlock switches monitor the rotational movement of hinged guard doors, removing power from the hazardous machinery if/when the door is opened. They provide positively operated switching contacts and a tamper-resistant actuator mechanism. IDEM and Comepi switches offer reliable safety interlock operation.
- Switch operates when the sliding action of the actuator arm causes deflection of the switch plunger.
- The switch head can be rotated to obtain the best switch orientation.
- Lever or shaft hinge actuators
- Body sizes of 25, 30, 40, 50 and 60mm
- Plastic or die cast aluminum bodies with plastic or stainless steel heads
- Combinations of N.O. or N.C. slow action, slow action break before make, and snap action contacts available
