Non-contact magnetic safety switches are low-cost interlocking devices that are designed to protect both people and machines. These non-coded switches utilize a magnetic field between the switch and actuator to open/close the safety circuit(s).
Stand-alone non-contact magnetic coded switches can monitor opening/closing of machine guards, doors or other machinery access panels. The differences from a standard non-contact safety switch are that these stand-alone models use force guided contacts, contain an internal monitoring system, and do not require an external safety relay.
