Float switches provide a low-cost solution for liquid level monitoring. Shock and vibration resistant, the float operates a reed switch via magnets as the liquid level moves the float. Various models offer compatibility with many liquids, temperature ranges, and system pressures.

Float level switches provide a low-cost general-purpose solution for single point monitoring of liquid level in a variety of applications. Designed for shock and vibration resistance, ProSense float level switches ensure long and trouble-free service.

Vertical Top-Mount Float Level Switches
Vertical float switches are mounted at the top or bottom of a tank or vessel and have a float that rises or falls along the stem. Magnets within the float actuate a hermetically sealed reed switch as the float rises and lowers with liquid level.
- Float materials: Polypropylene, Buna-N, 316SS, Kynar, and PTFE
- Stem materials: Polypropylene, PBT, Brass, 316SS, Kynar and PFTE
- 3/8-16 UNC, 1/8" MNPT or 1/4" MNPT mounting threads

Horizontal/side-mounted float switches have a fixed housing which is passed through a hole on the side of a vessel or tank. They operate via a hinged float that rises and falls with the liquid level.

Float Level Switch Kits
ProSense float level switch kits provide a convenient, field-customizable two-float level switch with a maximum stem length of 36 inches (914.4 mm). The kits are available in brass or 316 stainless steel constructions for compatibility with different liquids. Each kit contains two floats, a 2" NPT pipe plug, cuttable connecting tubes, and compression unions.

Float Level Tilt Switches
Float level tilt switches provide reliable level detection in open vessels, sumps, and ponds. These switches include a 7-meter cable, a weight, and an EPDM rubber float with a micro-switch that changes state as the float rises or falls +/- 45° from its nominal position.
