RFID coded tongue interlock safety switches fit sliding, hinged or lift-off machine guards and provide positively operated switching contacts and superior tamper-proof protection. With these models, both the solenoid must be energized and the RFID coding must match to release the tongue key.

Solenoid Locking RFID Tongue Interlock Safety Switches
IDEM and Comepi solenoid locking RFID tongue interlock safety switches provide robust position detection for moving guards and will remain locked until the solenoid voltage is applied to the switch. These switches can be used in conjunction with delay timers to provide the solenoid energize signal only after a pre-determined amount of time has passed.
- Uniquely coded RFID interlock ensures safety mechanism cannot be easily bypassed
- Holding force of 1200N, 2000N, or 3000N keeps guard doors closed until hazards have been removed
- 24 VDC solenoid is energized to unlock
- Unique rotating head offers both front and end actuation for IDEM models
- Plastic, die cast aluminum, or 316 stainless-steel models
- Choice of standard or flexible actuators
- Two OSSD outputs or two safety contacts
- For use as directed by ISO14119 and EN ISO12100
- IP65 or IP67 enclosure rating (IP69K on all KL3-Z models)
