Solenoid locking tongue interlock safety switches fit sliding, hinged or lift-off machine guards and provide positively operated switching contacts and a tamper-resistant actuator mechanism. With these models, the solenoid must be energized to release the tongue key.

Solenoid Locking, Tongue Interlock Safety Switches
Just as with standard tongue interlock safety switches, these devices provide reliable monitoring of safety barrier position but with the added feature of a locking solenoid that will hold the key until energized to release. IDEM and Comepi switches offer robust, dependable operation.
- 30mm, 40mm, or 73mm mounting sizes
- Standard or compact housings
- Housing (body and head) materials of plastic, aluminum or stainless steel
- Available with solenoid voltages of 24 VDC or 110 VAC
- Auxiliary contacts and LEDs for diagnostic feedback
- Manual solenoid override for emergency access
- IP65 or IP67 enclosure rating (IP69K washdown on full body stainless steel model)
- 90, 180, or 270 degree adjustable head models
- Multiple actuator entry points
- Contact configurations available include: N.O., N.C., N.C. slow action, or N.C. snap action
- Models with single or multiple conduit openings of 1/2 in. NPT female or M20 x 1.5mm female
- Selection of stainless steel actuator keys, flexible key options available
