Washdown-duty AC induction motors can power pumps, blowers, conveyors and other machinery in environments requiring wet cleaning. In various NEMA frames with rigid base or C-face mounting provisions, available models are made from stainless steel, or rolled steel with a chemical-resistant white epoxy finish.

Washdown AC Motors
Category Selection
Washdown duty motors are designed for use in food and beverage processing or other applications where motors are frequently exposed to moisture, humidity, certain chemicals or other washdown environments (not rated for direct contact with food).
- Sizes from fractional horsepower up to 20hp, depending on series
- Leeson washdown-rated motors in TEFC or TENV enclosures (stainless steel or white epoxy finish, depending on model)
- IronHorse premium efficiency stainless steel IP56 or IP69K motors in TEFC or TENV enclosures

Leeson Washguard SST
Stainless steel Washguard SST motors from Leeson are built tough, intended to withstand the most demanding washdown environments.
- Sizes up to 2hp
- 208-230/460 VAC 3-phase and 115/230 VAC 1-phase
- All exterior components of 300 Series stainless steel, including motor frame, end shield and conduit box castings
- Interior corrosion protection
- Shaft seals on both ends of TEFC motors
- Sealed bearings with internally locked shaft end bearing
- Mounting options include C-Face with base, or C-Face without base

Washguard White Duck motors from Leeson have a white epoxy finish that adds superior chemical resistance in addition to withstanding harsh washdown applications.
