Enclosure Thermal Management and Lights
An important consideration with electrical enclosures is the regulation of the temperature inside. Both external factors and internal electrical devices can cause wide temperature fluctuations within an enclosure. If not properly regulated, this fluctuation can cause damage to sensitive electrical equipment. Controlling the internal temperature of an enclosure can eliminate the risk of condensation and prevent overheating or freezing of the electrical components.
Another consideration with enclosures is internal visibility. LED lights provide bright lighting inside enclosures with long service life and easy installation.
For general purpose lighting needs, industrial LED lights are available. These rugged, industrial-grade light fixtures illuminate work areas in commercial and industrial environments and are capable of operating in extreme conditions.

Thermoelectric Coolers

Air-to-Air Heat Exchangers

Directional Cooling Fans
StegoJet compact fans provide spot cooling for "hot spots" and high heat load components inside an enclosure.

Filter Fans
Filter fans displace hot air inside the enclosure with cooler air from the outside (purchase intake/exhaust grille separately).
Filter fans are available in various voltages, NEMA ratings, mounting options, and in a range of airflow options.
Rack Fans
Fan kits for data communication racks extend the life of rack-mounted equipment by increasing airflow within the rack or cabinet. Fan kits are available with one or two fans, or in a fan tray version with three or nine fans.
Vortex Coolers
Compressed air cooling is used where conventional enclosure cooling by cabinet air conditioners or heat exchangers is not possible.

Heaters
Enclosure heaters controlled with thermostats, hygrostats and hygrotherms protect against condensation. They heat the air inside enclosures, preventing water vapor from condensing on components while providing the greatest possible air circulation and low energy consumption.

- Loop heaters are designed to achieve an optimal chimney effect to ensure continuous, even heat distribution
- PTC (positive temperature coefficient) convection and fan heaters in compact sizes and touch-safe designs

- Foot-mounted fan heaters are stationary units for mounting on the bottom of an enclosure
Thermostats and Hygrostats
Thermostats and hygrostats regulate temperature and humidity inside an enclosure. Electronic and mechanical models are available, with fixed or adjustable setpoints to fit a wide range of applications.
- Thermostats rated for hazardous areas
- Tamperproof thermostats with single or dual fixed setpoints
- Adjustable single and dual setpoint thermostats; dual setpoint units allow independent control of heating, cooling or other equipment.
- Electronic hygrostats (humidistats) sense relative humidity in enclosure and control a heater to help prevent the formation of condensation
- Electronic hygrotherms sense the ambient temperature and relative air humidity and control a connected device ON to adjust both temperature and humidity level
Ambient Sensors
Ambient sensors measure temperature and humidity and convert the data into a standardized analog 4-20 mA or a digital IO-Link signal.
Vents & Grilles
Vents are ideal for applications where natural convection provides sufficient cooling for enclosure contents.
Grilles work together with filter fans to supply filtered cooler ambient air from outside the enclosure, reducing internal heat and protecting the devices inside the enclosure.
Pressure Compensators & Vent Plugs
Pressure compensators and vent plugs balance the pressure between the inside and outside of an enclosure, easing the strain on enclosure seals and gaskets. Reducing the pressure differential will extend the life of enclosure seals and ensure internal components remain protected from harmful contaminants for years to come.

Breathers & Drains
Temperature fluctuations and humidity may cause condensation buildup within an enclosure that can harm components and create corrosion.
Breathers provide a protected opening that allows air to flow freely in or out of the enclosure, helping to reduce condensation issues.
Drains provide a way to safely remove any condensate or accumulated liquids such as water or oil while maintaining IP ratings of the system.

Fan Hoods

Enclosure Lighting

Models are available with voltage ratings up to 240VAC or 110VDC, and screw mounting or magnet mounting (for steel enclosures); activation options include an ON/OFF switch or motion sensor.
Industrial LED Lighting
LED lights, also called "machine lights", provide ample illumination for low-visibility work areas while operating under adverse conditions including high temperature, high pressure, and/or strong vibration. AC- or DC-powered units are available, as well as models rated for food and beverage applications.
