Motor controllers are used to switch loads ON or OFF with operator controls. Because of their design, these motor controllers are listed as a Suitable Motor Disconnect under UL Standard 508, which means they can reliably perform both motor control and disconnect functions, all in one compact package.
- A motor controller is used to switch a motor load ON or OFF and perform this function thousands of times
- A motor disconnect is designed and tested to withstand motor overloads and high short-circuit fault currents while maintaining the ability to disconnect an electric motor for service or maintenance
- Mechanically interlocked motor disconnects ensure proper, fully-seated connections for mobile equipment
- Rotary cam switches provide manual motor changeover or direction change
