Interlock safety switches are devices that use a physical connection (tongue interlock or hinge switch) to monitor machine guards, doors, gates, windows, jaws or other machinery to protect both people and machines. Solenoid locking models are also available.

Interlock Safety Switches
Interlock safety switches are great choices for monitoring safety gates and doors where there is little chance for misalignment. They provide a positive physical connection (tongue interlock or hinge switch) for machine guards, doors, gates, windows, or jaws and will disable machinery in the event the door or gate is opened or misaligned.

Solenoid Locking RFID Tongue Interlock Safety Switches
These RFID coded safety switches fit into the leading edge of machine guard doors to provide robust guard locking while also providing a double tamper resistant interlock mechanism.
- Highly effective anti-tamper RFID coding
- Solenoid holding force of up to 3000N to keep guard doors closed until hazards have been removed
- Unique rotating head offers both front and end actuation
- Die cast housing fitting with a robust 316 stainless steel head
Solenoid Locking, Tongue Interlock Safety Switches
These solenoid locking switches are similar to standard tongue interlock safety switches, but maintain a holding force on the key until the solenoid is energized to release.

- Auxiliary contacts and LEDs for diagnostic feedback
- Manual solenoid override for emergency access
Tongue (Key) Interlock Safety Switches
Tongue operated safety interlock switches fit to the leading edge of sliding, hinged, or lift off machine guards to provide positively operated switching contacts and provide a tamper resistant actuator mechanism. They provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards.

- 16.5 mm, 22mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, or 60mm mounting sizes
- IP66 or IP67 environmental rating (IP69K washdown on full body stainless model)

Hinge Interlock Safety Switches
Hinge interlock safety switches fit to the hinged axis of machine guard doors. The switch body fits to the door frame and the actuator fits to the door.
- Shaft or lever hinge interlock operated
- Body and head materials: fiberglass-reinforced plastic, die-cast aluminum options
- IP65, IP66 and/or IP67 environmental ratings
- 90 degree adjustable head
