Cylinder Mounting
There are a number of ways to mount pneumatic cylinders and to connect the rod end to various mechanisms. Not all mounting options are available for all series of cylinders.
Rod Clevis
Use a Rod Clevis to attach the cylinder rod while allowing it to pivot. Often used when the rod is pushing on a lever of some sort.
Rod Eye
A Rod Eye allows similar functionality to the clevis, allowing attachment of the cylinder rod while allowing it to pivot.
Self Aligning Rod Coupler
Use a Self Aligning Rod Coupler to extend or couple the rod to other linear mechanisms, and to correct axial misalignment that may exist.
Rod Nut
Use a rod nut (or a pair of rod nuts) to rigidly attach items to the end of the rod.
Rear Pivot Eye
Rear Pivot Eyes allow the cylinder body to rotate back and forth about a rear hinge point.
Spherical Rear Pivot
The spherical pivot allows complete freedom of movement about a rear anchor point.
Foot Mount Bracket
Foot mounts provide an easy way to mount the cylinder parallel to a machine surface.
Flange Mount
Use flange mounts to extend the profile of the nose (or rear) of the cylinder for mounting. They are also great for providing maintenance access to cylinders that would otherwise be hard to reach.
Through Hole Mounting
Select cylinders have a set of through holes with counter-sunk bores for clean, convenient mounting to any flat surface.
T-slot Mounting

Some cylinders offer built-in features such as t-slots for easy mounting. The cross section of the cylinder above shows how t-slots can be positioned along the side of a cylinder for mounting access.
