BRX relay output modules control ON/OFF devices that operate at higher AC or DC currents. Modules are available with up to 16 I/O points and, unless using Modbus communications, will be auto-discovered and configured as native I/O to the system. A DC in/relay out combo module is also available.

Relay Output
Relay output modules are used for switching higher-current loads and function like electromechanical relays. An external power source is switched through the module contacts under PLC logic control. When stacked with a BRX remote I/O controller, they form a shared backplane and communicate via the system bus. Relay modules are available in a variety of configurations and can be combined with other I/O types within the same system.
- Expansion modules easily snap onto the side of any BRX remote I/O controller
- Available in 5, 8, 12, or 16-point configurations with Form A or Form C contacts
- Support 12-48 VDC, 100-125 VDC, or 24-240 VAC circuits
- Ratings up to 8A per point for isolated outputs; up to 8A per common for outputs on a shared common terminal
- Select models include RC snubber circuits to suppress voltage spikes when switching inductive loads
- BX-08TRZ and BX-16TRZ relay output modules omit suppression circuits to minimize leakage current that may inadvertently energize low-current devices
