BRX remote I/O controllers are ideal for systems where components are separated by large distances or where an extreme amount of I/O is needed. With these controllers, remote I/O can be located separately from the CPU and linked through Ethernet, Modbus RTU, or Modbus TCP communication.

BRX remote I/O controllers serve as the communication interface between distributed BRX I/O modules and the host control system. Supporting native Do‑more remote I/O, DirectLOGIC Ethernet remote I/O, and Modbus‑based applications, these controllers manage the exchange of I/O data between remote field devices and the PLC or master controller. Each unit supports up to eight BRX I/O expansion modules and is designed for seamless integration into a wide range of automation system architectures.

BRX Do-more I/O controllers provide distributed I/O throughout a facility by connecting remote BRX I/O modules to Do-more PLCs over Ethernet. Installed near the equipment they serve, remote I/O racks communicate with the host PLC through a single network connection using the Do-more Ethernet Remote I/O protocol. When stacked with BRX remote I/O modules, they form a shared backplane and communicate via the system bus. Remote I/O systems are automatically discovered and treated as native I/O, enabling fast configuration and seamless integration with the control system.

BRX Ethernet Base Controllers (EBC100) provide Ethernet-based remote I/O expansion for DirectLOGIC PLC systems, Do-more PLC systems, and Modbus TCP applications. They allow remote I/O racks to be installed near field devices and communicate back to the host system over a single Ethernet connection. Depending on the protocol used, I/O data can appear as native system I/O or be accessed through standard Modbus TCP read and write instructions. This enables flexible integration of distributed I/O across both legacy and modern control platforms.

BRX Modbus I/O slave controllers (MBIO) provide distributed I/O expansion for systems using Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP master devices. Remote BRX I/O modules connect to the controller and exchange I/O data with a host system using standard Modbus read and write instructions. This allows distributed I/O points to be mapped to Modbus registers for integration with PLCs and other control systems that support Modbus communications.
