SureMotion Pro Drive
Configuration Software
SureMotion Pro is a convenient software utility for configuring advanced stepper drives and advanced integrated motor/drives (software is not required for standard drives). The software can be downloaded free from our store; a software USB drive is available for purchase if needed.

Ever Studio is the optional, advanced configuration software for LW3A, LW4D, and SW series stepper drives (basic dip-switch setup is possible for some Ever models). The software can be downloaded free from our store.

USB to RS-232/RS-485 Adapter
The STP-USB485-4W is a USB to RS-232/RS-485 converter that can be used in 2-wire or 4-wire serial networks. Serial communication can be wired up via the 9-pin D-sub connector or through the 6-screw terminals.
- The STP-USB485-4W can be set for several different configurations by the 4 DIP switches
- SureStep Advanced Drives communicate RS-232 (for control and configuration via SM-PRO)
- The Advanced Integrated Motor/Drives use RS-485 wired for either 2- or 4-wire networks (4-wire is required for use with SM-PRO)
- Either 2- or 4-wire RS-485 can be used for control
- All RS-485 PLCs that have 2-wire capability can control the Advanced Integrated steppers.
SureStep Damper
A "hockey puck" style step motor inertia damper can smooth out steps in a typical step motor resulting in a quieter and smoother motion when rotating between steps
- Reduces resonance and micro-oscillations when moving from step to step
- Can also be used as a hand wheel to directly rotate the position of the rotor when power is removed from the motor
- The damper is a properly sized machined piece of aluminum encased in plastic
- Sized and weighted for general damping of NEMA 17 or 23 frame size motors
