Analog I/O provides the PLC with the data it needs for precision control of a process. To measure the exact level in a holding tank, or to partly open a control valve, analog I/O is required.
DirectLOGIC controllers are not intended for new system development, please consider our latest lines of controllers (Do-more, Productivity, or CLICK) for new installations.

The DL05 PLC requires an analog module to be installed in the PLC expansion slot for applications requiring process control. A selection of voltage, current, and temperature modules are available with up to 16-bit resolution.
For process control signals, the DL06 PLC requires one or more analog modules to be installed in the PLC's expansion slot(s). A selection of voltage, current, and temperature modules are available with up to 16-bit resolution.
The DL205 series PLCs support a wide variety of analog modules, including current, voltage, and thermocouple modules, allowing the PLC to connect to almost any device including pressure transmitters, proportional valves, AC drives, panel meters, and more.
Most DirectLOGIC 305 analog modules have been retired. A 4-channel current/voltage analog input module is available and offers:
DirectLOGIC 405 analog modules add up to 16 current or voltage analog inputs or up to 16 current or voltage analog outputs (per module) to the DL405 controller.
