DirectLOGIC (Micro to Small, Brick & Modular PLCs) - PLCs & CPUs
Category Selection
Five series of DirectLOGIC controllers are offered as complete PLC units with built-in I/O or as rack-based controllers with the CPU and I/O housed in a base unit. Each series provides different I/O capacities and communication options, and available components are intended to support existing installations.
DirectLOGIC PLCs are not intended for new system development, please consider our latest lines of controllers (Do-more, Productivity, or CLICK) for new installations.

DL05 Series PLCs
The DL05 micro-PLC line offers PLC units with 8 built-in discrete inputs and 6 discrete outputs. One option slot allows the addition of analog I/O, discrete I/O, additional communications, or a memory module with real-time clock and battery back-up.
- 100-240 VAC or 12-24 VDC powered versions
- Embedded I/O combinations include AC-in/AC-out, AC-in/DC-out, DC-in/DC-out, and DC-in/relay-out
- Expandable to 30 I/O points total
- Support for Modbus RTU, DeviceNET, and Modbus TCP (when used with the ECOM100 module)
DL06 Series PLCs
DL06 PLC base units include 20 built-in inputs and 16 built-in outputs. DL06 PLCs also have four option card slots for expansion (discrete, analog, communication modules) and supports up to 100 I/O points total.
- Two built-in communication ports with RS232/422/485 capability
- Supports networking for Modbus RTU, DeviceNET, ASCII, and Modbus TCP (when used with the ECOM100 module)
- Integrated high-speed inputs and pulse output
- Optional LCD display panel for monitoring, alarms, or maintenance
DL205 Series CPUs
The DirectLOGIC 205 CPU supports a modular PLC design that can be combined with I/O from over 35 different I/O modules including discrete, analog, temperature, and high-speed versions.
- Rack-based configuration with four base sizes - 3, 4, 6, or 9 slots
- Two built-in serial communication ports
- 16,384 possible I/O points
- Additional communication options with serial and Ethernet modules
- Support for K-sequence, DirectNET, ASCII, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP communication
- Support for counter input/pulse output
- Serial and Ethernet remote I/O options available
DL305 Series CPUs
All standard DL305 series CPUs have been retired; a limited supply of the OPTOMUX CPU is available to support unconventional PLC applications, such as computer controlled I/O.
DL405 Series CPUs
The DL405 modular CPU includes a 110/220 VAC or 24VDC power supply and 4 communication ports built in.
- Rack-based configuration with three base sizes - 4, 6, or 8 slots
- Up to 3,500 I/O points possible
- Additional communication options with serial and Ethernet modules
- Support for K-sequence, DirectNET, ASCII, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP communication
- Support for counter input/pulse output
- Serial and Ethernet remote I/O using remote base controllers
