BRX Series PLCs (Stackable Micro Brick): Do-more Designer Videos
Detailed Product Overview
(VID-DD-0029) - This video gives basic information on Using the LERP "Linear Interpolation" instruction in the Do-more Designer software. It presents information that is commonly missed by users. This WILL NOT be a complete tutorial for the instruction but rather a supplement to the help file and customer experience.
** Software Version used in this video: Do-more Designer 2.0
This instruction is used to take an input value and approximate that to an output value based upon sets of data from this table. This lookup table can consist of 2 to 50 data points and can be manually entered or can be imported from a CSV file or a TXT file. I find this easier to explain while looking at a X-Y graph. What is does it create a linear slope between each of the data point sets. Then the instruction will approximate the output based upon where the input would show up on this curve. You have two options for values outside of the data set ranges, you can either clamp the value to the highest or lowest value in the set or extrapolated the value given the last slope.SO if you have an operation that is not a true linear operation this would allow for the closest approximation of that function.
