IO-Link level sensors/transmitters use capacitive sensing technology to detect the presence or absence of material in a tank or vessel. These contact sensors measure changes in capacitance caused by differences in dielectric values between air and the target media. When material reaches the sensing face, the sensor detects the change and switches the output accordingly. They are well-suited for detecting solids such as plastic pellets and a wide range of liquids, including water-based conductive media. IO-Link capability provides access to process data, sensor diagnostics, and configuration settings for improved monitoring and setup.
